And Then There were 10 – CAS Trust Board Grows

Last night saw the Trust board co-opt 2 more members into its ranks at the Beehive pub in New Eltham

David Pearce and Richard Hunt, will bring the Board up to 10 people. As well as those who successfully stood for election to the group at the Special General Meeting last spring, the Board can - according to its strict rules handed down by governing body supporters direct - decide to add or co-opt a number of additional members to swell its numbers further and help with the workload. All members are unpaid and volunteer to give up a good deal of their spare time to provide a supporters' trust for Charlton fans.

Technological Assistance

Of interest to some is that one of the Board lives abroad but is able to attend via a Skype conference call link something CAS Trust have recently been able to make use of, and allowable constitutionally. Some face to face contact on a regular basis will remain the norm for 9 out of 10 however who are locally based.

These increments represent the increasing work and requirements of an organisation that has grown over the last year to over 3 and a half thousand in its network, and seven hundred members, as well as a flourishing website and publication.

The other news however is we still need more people to help:

From volunteers on match days, to more Board members to help with articles, match reports and previews, publications, website, e-marketing, research and more. If you're interested please drop us an email to secretary@castrust.org, find a full list of our 'vacancies' here.
