A word from the Trust Secretary - Richard Wiseman

Election of Members of the CAS Trust Board

Following the Rules of CAS Trust (Officially the Charlton Supporters Society Limited) the Directors of the Society are standing down at the Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 11th September 2014. In accordance with the Rules three Directors have set up an Election Management Group to oversee the process.

Nominations are now invited for individuals willing to serve as Directors.

The Rules state that there shall be a Board of Directors comprising not less than 6 and not more than 10 persons. Should there be fewer candidates than there are vacancies on the Board, there will not be a formal ballot of members but instead those people validly nominated will be put to the SGM. If a trust member has any query on this procedure, please contact Richard Wiseman – Society Secretary – (secretary@castrust.org).

People willing to contribute and serve on the board as a member must:

a) be a fully paid up member of the Society

b) be nominated by two fully paid-up members of the Society.

An election nomination form must be completed and sent back to the Society Secretary by no later than Tuesday 12th August 2014. The form should either be sent electronically to secretary@castrust.org or by post to The Secretary, CAS Trust, 83 Heathwood Gardens, London SE7 8ET. The form must have the names of two members who are nominating the candidate for election.

The Secretary will then contact the nominating members to confirm their nomination. All candidates must submit with their nominations a written statement of no less than 100 words and no more than 500 words in support of their nomination.

The Society Secretary will issue postal ballot papers and copies of the candidates’ statements if there are more candidates than number of vacant seats. Please contact secretary@castrust.org if you have any questions relating to this process.
