The Supporters’ Trust is concerned that Charlton Athletic's plans to re-launch the Family Activity Zone in the West Stand Car Park this Saturday will clash with the widely-publicised plans for a peaceful supporters’ protest in the same location.

Although CAS Trust is not involved in the organisation of the protest, we strongly support the right of any supporter or group of supporters to express their views to the club in a rational manner.

We have therefore contacted the Club to seek assurances that they will make no attempt to prevent the protest, which would risk creating an unnecessary flashpoint, and to request they make every endeavour to accommodate both events in a safe and secure manner.  We are sure the protest will reflect the spirit for which Addicks fans are famed, whilst ensuring children attending the Family Activity Zone enjoy their time too.

The Club has committed to pass our concerns on to the match-day teams in order that both events are considerately and appropriately managed.
