Charlton Player Liaison Officer Tracey says:
"I have a major fear of heights!! So this challenge Walking over the O2 is really going to be a terrifying experience for me. I will be taking part in this challenge with some of our first team players (one who also has a fear of heights) and staff. I am raising much needed funds for the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal as we are testing our Charlton fans and Oxford fans on the 19th February.
Each test costs £25 and although fans are asked to donate £10 there is a shortfall of £15 per person. Due to Covid the fundraising events to support this charity has been very much restricted over the last few years.
The reason I am so passionate on helping men to be tested for Prostate Cancer is that my Dad was cruelly taken away from us when he still had so much life in him to bring so much joy to everyone who met him. He has missed so many important occasions in our family.. grandchildren being born, First Grand child to go to University ever in our family's history. If I can help other families not to go through what we did, then a fear of heights is nothing in comparison."
Accompanying Tracey on the walk will be Jonathan Leko (also afraid of heights) and Sean Clare.
