We were delighted last Friday to present the 2023 Steve Clarke award to under 16s captain Jacob Safa.

Jacob was nominated by his coaches for:

• Contribution to the team performance
• Consistent individual performance and progress
• Outstanding personal qualities that contribute to and develop team ethic and togetherness
• Educational achievements in the football scholarship

We miss Steve Clarke's wit and wisdom every day. He would so have loved to watch and support the emergence of young players like Jacob and last year's winner Henry Rylah.
