Fan Engagement Plan in Progress

In recent weeks CAST have participated in constructive planning with the club and other stakeholders regarding a broader future fan engagement strategy.

The club makes reference to this in its statement about the structure of the CAFC board.

Plans would include the establishment of an advisory board featuring strong fan representation, respecting Charlton's heritage as the original community club. Additional structures would enable and encourage fans to get involved in areas which are of particular interest to them. We expect that Q&A sessions with club directors, such as those on Charlton TV/ YouTube, will continue so that supporters can put questions directly in an open forum.

CAST's input to the planning has included reviewing best practice at other clubs and sharing guidance from the Football Supporters' Association (FSA). Two fundamental points of agreement are that fan representation at the strategic level must be based on a clear democratic mandate and that structures should endure beyond current incumbents/ holders of specific roles.

We will share more information in coming weeks as the plans are finalised.
