#CAFC Season starts here (CP) – 2-2 at Oakwell, Trust stall for Donny

Chris Powell's Men grabbed a comeback draw, in the third game in a somewhat disappointing start to the season

One thing is definitely true, it's the start of my season, having been cruelly whisked away to foreign shores by the Missus, and the awkward scheduling of the summer holidays to clash with the football season - never quite understood that - my first match will be next weekend against Doncaster Rovers at the Valley.

Another things that starts here is the Trusts' match day presence, now scheduled to commence before Donny next weekend. You can sign the ACV petition and join up outside the North and maybe even the West if we can get enough volunteers on the day so please do pop down and show the love for our ground, also scheduled for the Leicester game so far.

Anyway back to topic. We are lacking match reporters to cover all games, but we understand the trip to Oakwell saw travelling youth product Jordan Cousins (in case you've been living on the moon and hadn't heard) score his first senior goal to help the fightback to salvage our first point so far.  So well done to him, it's great to hear once again that our academy is producing talents that can challenge for a squad place. The other good news is Simon Church who grabbed the equaliser seems to know where the goal is and could turn out to be a great last minute signing. Perhaps a fit Jackson can be the final piece in the jigsaw?

Here's hoping Chris can turn it around for my first match back 'in action'.
