This month saw four more grounds achieve Asset of Community Value status
Two of whom St Andrews and the King Power stadium are at the same level as Charlton. Also added to Birmingham and Leicester's listing were Stockport's Edgley Park and Prescot Cables Valerie Park.
The status which is becoming widespread throughout the game and allowed by the 2011 Localism Act, allows fans groups to list their stadium so that if it were put up for sale separately to the football club, they would be consulted and given 6 months to submit a bit. So although limited the status among other things can provide a symbolic but legal link between fans and club.
CAS Trust's application to Royal Borough of Greenwich is still pending, and we hope to hear soon, although Charlton fans if they wish can still add their name in support here to our petition which has so far achieved around 1900 signatures in favour.
