Charlton Travel to the West Country on Saturday to play Yeovil hoping for some important points
Chris Powell must it seems find a return to the usual away form, to arrest the Addicks slide towards the bottom of the table.
Most of the squad with the exception of Chris Solly and Ben Hamer are fit now, and perhaps it is time for Richard Wood (if fully fit) to resume his position in the centre of the defence after clean sheets seem hard to come by lately, and no emergency loans came in to plug the gaps - giving more opportunities for out of favour Green to get back into the first 11, and similarly Sordell to prove his worth.
Not forgetting of course that Charlton have been playing some big sides lately, QPR & Reading away matches being tough ones but still only a goal in it, and the latter with a penalty shout not given. Powell's attempt to inject some energy down the left didn't seem to do enough to bring more goals, so Jackson may well return. The opposition on Saturday are it seems in the same mini league as the Reds, but Charlton must prove their worth by more serious tests of the opposition keeper, and a good tally of shots on target to get a result.
Further blanks will put more pressure on the Xmas period and run up, so it would appear 3 points is vital.
