300 of the Addicks Red Army see Victory up North 0-1

Jose Riga forged another win last night boosting the Addicks in what may become a famous and inspiring win.

Less than 300 made the trip but perhaps understandably due to the number of midweek fixtures recently.

Charlton took advantage of turmoil at Leeds that has seen them spiralling downwards and grabbed a winner through recent signing from Liege, Iranian Reza Ghoochannejhad. Charlton's big striker signing in January has been a disappointment so far in SE7 but hopefully this will set him on his way to firing the Addicks to safety. Even better was another clean sheet for Hamer between the sticks, adding to that possibly vital goal difference.

The win sees Charlton close the gap on Birmingham to two points and gain 3 points distance on Barnsley who occupy the first relegation slot.

Charlton should take a bit of time to enjoy the win, but not long as there is still a long way to go, and Reading on Saturday will be tough but another vital opportunity for points.
