Charlton 2nd date with Derby after Putting 4 past Colchester (League Cup)

Charlton's habit of drawing familiar opposition continued after they were drawn with Derby for the League Cup 2nd round

Charlton coach Bob Peeters played a strong side mixing in some of his squad and youth, as well as switching some players like Cousins to their more natural position. He was rewarded in style as Wilson grabbed a very respectable brace, new signing Buyens grabbed his first goal from a disputed pen after a handball and sending off, while Simon Church was the final icing on the cake leaving Charlton comfortable winners at 4-0.

Charlton go into Saturday's first home match this season against Wigan tomorrow (Saturday) with some interesting choices on team selection.

The Addicks were drawn away for the 2nd round to fellow Championship club Derby who they also play at home next week (Tuesday) in the League.
