CAS Trust met for its second AGM on the 11th of September 2014 in the Bugle Horn pub.

Richard Murray was the special guest but there was also formal Trust business to discuss, not least the election of the new Board.

The meeting started with a minute's silence for David Whyte followed by applause. Richard Hunt spoke on the question of the impact of West Ham moving to the Olympic stadium. A good number of active and vocal members turned out for the AGM (not just for Mr Murray) and a wide range of topics were discussed.

Barnie Razzell CAS Trust Chairman (seen here at recent Wembley fans summit) commented during and after the meeting:

• Members have an important role to play in the success of the Trust even if they can't spare much time -
  

  If every member persuaded another fan to join the Trust, our numbers will maintain and possibly grow and we will become more representative.

   

• We must communicate better
  

  in particular with non-members to show them what we are about, and what we do. Then we can attempt to represent their views as well as those of our members.

   

• We must look at our election process
  

  And ensure no-one is discouraged from standing -  the Trust must never become a back room clique, nor be perceived as one.

• The Trust must adapt

We are operating in a new environment of the Duchatelet era - we must identify the benefits and issues involved and work for more engagement with the club.
