Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón, Spain
Segunda (2nd) Division
Alcorcon – Barcelona “B”: 3-1 Att. 2,500
It must always be good to say you beat Barcelona. However this gets a bit easier if the Barcelona keeper receives a red card on 25 minutes. It has also to be said that Barcelona “B” are now second bottom. Alcorcon, on the other hand are only 6 points off a playoff palce in this congested división, with 12 games still to play.
Újpest FC, Hungary
NB 1 (1st Division)
Honved - Ujpest: 2-2. Att: 1,538
Ujpest Lad writes:
The 21st round found Újpest at an away game against relegation-threatened Budapest Honvéd.
We were 8th before the round, while Honvéd were still in the relegation zone at the 15th position, 3 points behind the safe positions.
Two of our very important players, Asmir Suljic and Újpest-grown Litauszki Róbert were banned from the game. Suljic is considered is the greatest talent of the league, the reason why it is worth watching Újpest games.
The flow of the game was the usual boring-one with a record low attendance for a match of the two historical teams of Hungary. The reason for that is that both Roderick Duchatelet and George F. Hemingway (the owners of the clubs) are considered as the greatest enemies of Hungarian football by the fans and the only way for them to demonstrate their feelings now is not showing up - not that their absence would result in anything: both owners expressed that they are happy not seeing the protesters at their stadiums.
Anyways, we got the lead by a penalty kick by Dusan Vasiljevic in the 19th minute. Honvéd equalised after 10 more minutes by huge mistakes of all players in the defence. Still in the first half, Újpest took an undeserved lead by a header from newly signed Nemanja Andric resulting in a 1-2 half time.
Early in the second half, Honvéd equalised again through a great mistake by team captain goalkeeper Balajcza Szabolcs. Worth noting, a Honvéd player should have been given a red card before starting their attack, even the cameras have missed the goal as they were showing the fault by the Honvéd player and the fight after it.
None of the teams had real chances after that, the game ended with a bore draw.
Fans are again and still very disappointed, Újpest have not won a game since November, and we have failed to win again against relegation-zoned teams. We lost at home against Pécsi MFC (who were 16th, the very last at that time) and drawn against 15th position holder Honvéd.
Now after the international break we are playing home against leaders Videoton and after that heading to Groupama Arena to play the Budapest Derby against Ferencváros. That game is considered within the 20 biggest derbies all around the world. All fans are expecting huge losses on both of those games.
Sint - Truidense VV, Belgium
Belgian Division 2
STVV – Patro Eisden: 2.2. Att. 8,414
Are STVV choking? This was the second draw in a row, this time an 82 minute equalizer from lowly Eisden pegged them back after they had recovered from going a goal down. Second place Lommel won, and they visit STVV in the very last game.
CL’s Defke reports:
Captain Rob Schoofs was disappointed after the game.
"We are obviously disappointed, because we could do today i a good thing," Schoofs told Voetbalbelgië.be. "Five minutes before we were still 2-1, but we still take the victory from the hands. That is incredibly bitter"
"On the other hand we still have placed the necessary readiness to fight for the day. We can not panic because we are still in good shape.
According Schoofs there is a lack of efficiency.
"We could have been before the break 3-1 up, but we can never get over the lead. That's the whole season already a problem for us. It's always shivering until the end of the game."he explains.
"We have to fight for every match. If Lommel wins, it's back to us at Heist to address the three points. We will also do everything possible to re-establish with a victory,"
FC Carl Zeiss Jena, Germany
Regionalliga Nordost
FCC - Babelsberg: 1-1. Att. 5,865
This wasn’t the result FCC wanted, however the attendance figure was a small triumph, being the result of our friend Christoph’s “pay what you like” promotion.
