In a CAS Trust survey conducted in late January, 90% of Trust members who responded reported that they were personally participating in protest actions against the way in which the club was being run. At the time these protests largely amounted to the wearing of black & white scarves, the boycotting of matches or of match day catering and massed protests in the car park before and after games.
Since then, the protests have expanded to include:
- The Pinocchio themed protest
- Billboards in Anchor & Hope Lane
- Lobbying of MPs
- The demonstration at St Truiden
- The spoof match programme
- A call to boycott season ticket renewals
- The funeral march
- Beach balls
- Whistles
- The 74th minute walk out
- The picket of potential sponsors
CAS Trust has recently received a small amount of comments from members about the various strands of protest and we are keen to gauge a broader response. We would be grateful if you would email secretary@castrust.org with your opinions. Please make your comments specific to the different sorts of protest - e.g Do you think anything has been useful/effective? Do you think anything has been inappropriate? What have you taken part in? Has anything annoyed you?
We look forward to hearing your views!
