FA turn down Meire disrepute complaint

CAS Trust has finally received a reply from the FA to its complaint of May 16th that Katrien Meire had brought the game into disrepute by comparing Charlton supporters' protest chants to racist abuse.

The complaint in full can be seen here: https://www.castrust.org/2016/05/trust-make-formal-complaint-fa/

Tarik Shamel (Head of On Field Regulation at the FA) has responded as follows:

"Dear Mr Clarke

I am writing in respect of your letter of complaint regarding comments made by the Chief Executive Officer of Charlton Athletic FC, Ms Katrien Meire, on 12th May 2016.

We have carefully considered and assessed the matters raised in your complaint and we are satisfied that on this occasion the comments made by Ms Meire do not constitute a breach of the Football Association's rules or regulations.

I would however like to take this opportunity to thank you for raising this complaint with the FA."

We are disappointed by this cursory response after three months' delay and will be replying to request details of the process whereby the decision was reached.
