Cardiff chairman linked to Charlton purchase

The Evening Standard reported on Wednesday that current Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman is trying to conclude a deal to buy Charlton Athletic:

Meanwhile, Wales on Line reports that "if Dalman were to go it would be a hammer blow to the Bluebirds and Neil Warnock":

In an update on Thursday journalist Paul Abbandonato reported that Dalman had told Wales on Line reports that he is committed to the Bluebirds and intent on helping manager Warnock bring in new players. "Right at this moment in time I'm really focussed on preparing for the new season with Cardiff...We have a job to do here at Cardiff and we intend to give it a right old go for promotion" He added: "Its important that continues, rather then people talking about me and my future"

We note that he did not deny an interest in purchasing Charlton:
