Because of planned engineering works there will be no trains at all running to Charlton station next Saturday March 7th when Charlton play Middlesbrough.
With the "Kids for a Quid" initiative in operation a crowd approaching 20,000 might be expected.
CAST has written to Network Rail expressing our disappointment at this state of affairs and asking them to:
- consider opening one of the lines from London
- make comprehensive provision of replacement buses in both directions
- meet CAFC and /or CAST next season when the fixtures are published to try and better accommodate supporters
Fans planning to come to the game are advised to leave early if driving or coming by bus. The nearest station will be North Greenwich (Jubilee Line) but traffic is likely to be heavy between the station and The Valley.
