Matt Pennycook MP joins CAST

Greenwich and Woolwich MP Matt Pennycook became the 1448th member of Charlton Athletic Supporters Trust when he joined last week. When we contacted him he said:

“As a long-standing Addicks supporter, I’m delighted to have joined CAST. At this challenging time, it’s essential that everyone who cares about the club’s future joins together to protect, preserve and promote it”.

Matt has always been very responsive in the past to any approaches we have made to him about issues concerning the club and we are very pleased that he has seen fit to become a member. We are sure that his knowledge and influence will be of great benefit to us, the club and all supporters as we go through the challenging times ahead.

With the club's very existence under threat it is vital that we have a robust and united fan base. To find out more about what CAST is currently doing to protect the future of our club read on:

Someone once told us that Clive Efford MP supports a different club. Hard to believe but, sadly, we think it's true. Nevertheless, we know for a fact that deep down he really wants to be a member of  CAST...
