CAST and Robins Trust stand together against homophobia

CAST and The Cheltenham Town Supporters Trust (The Robins Trust) have issued a joint statement following homophobic abuse aimed at a Charlton player during the match last Saturday. Proud Valiants and Proud Robins were also involved in preparing the statement.

CAST and the Robins Trust are united in support of a zero tolerance approach towards homophobic abuse of players, supporters or anyone at a football ground.

The statement includes a link to Cheltenham Town FC's statement after the incident.  Associate Director, Murry Toms, says:

"We're so disappointed and saddened that we're dealing with this sort of behaviour. However if there is one small positive to come out of this ugly episode it is that we're really pleased with the way the stewarding team handled the situation so quickly and efficiently. This club is for everyone. Hate has no place at Cheltenham Town."
