Charlton Women play what is perhaps their most important game of the season this Sunday in the fifth round of the FA Women's Cup.
The women will be taking on Women's Super League opposition for the first time since they played Tottenham in the Continental Cup in October. On that occasion they lost narrowly away (0-1) to the team currently third in the Super League.
Everton are struggling in the Super League. They are eleventh of twelve sides and, although they have games in hand on tenth place Leicester, their current form is dire - having lost their last four games and having scored only two goals in their last five. Their only respite during this run was their fourth round 4-0 win at Huddersfield which saw them through for Sunday's tie.
Charlton, on the other hand, are on a fine run with a phenomenal defensive record. The late goal they conceded at Coventry last time out was disappointing as it robbed them of the win but it was the first goal they had conceded in nine games since mid November.
Sunday's game will be a great opportunity for Karen Hills' team to measure themselves against Super League opposition. They will appreciate all the support they can get. Tickets are just £5 (£3 concessions) Don't miss it!
