Valley Gold members can watch under 18 semi-final on Saturday

Charlton's under 18 Premier League Cup semi-final against Aston Villa on Saturday 11th at Sparrows Lane (11am kick off) is not open to the public but Valley Gold members can attend. However, to gain admittance they must inform Sharron Sherress at sharron.sherress@cafc.co.uk  by Wednesday 8th March.

The Premier League Cup is open to the top 28 Academies. We qualified for the quarter finals as the best runner up from the seven groups. We started in September with a 3-1 win at Wolverhampton and followed that up in October with an 8-1 thrashing of Liverpool. Despite losing the final group game 1-5 to Tottenham we qualified by dint of our +5 goal difference.

Last month we went up to group F winners West Bromwich Albion and beat them 2-4 to set up the semi final with Aston Villa (who beat Southampton 0-4 in the quarters).

The winners of Saturday's match will face either Tottenham or Sheffield United in the final.

At the CAST webinar last month Zach Mitchell and Daniel Kanu said how much they were looking forward to Saturday's game, although it seems unlikely that Daniel will be available as he is likely to be in the first team squad. However, there will be no shortage of talent to admire.  Kone; Asiimwe, Mitchell, Gough, Bower; Kedwell, Laqeretabua; Rylah, Casey, Huke.

We are pretty sure you won't be waiting seven hours for a goal.
