Charlton Women's 1-1 draw at Blackburn on Wednesday evening means that it will be a tall order for them to catch either of the Championship leaders - Bristol City and London City Lionesses - as the season enters its final straight. The point gained in Lancashire leaves them nine and six points behind the leaders with only one game now in hand.
However, a home win against Sunderland on Sunday (note 12pm kick-off) followed by another against Lewes in the game in hand on Wednesday 29th could mean that they have a chance of overtaking London City if they can manage to beat them at Princes Park, Dartford on April 2nd.
