Charlton supporters generously donated 234 kg of food and toiletries to the CAST foodbank collection in the car park before the Leyton Orient game last Saturday.

Greenwich Foodbank Operations Manager Kathy Byfield said:

"We are very grateful to the many generous Charlton supporters who contributed to the collection. 234kg translates into about 260 meals over the holiday period and is FOUR times as much as was donated last year. In addition £468 was donated in cash. This demonstrates how alive and responsive Charlton supporters are to the pressures many in our local community are under."

CAST would like to thank Dean Holden for the extra publicity he gave to the collection. We plan to hold another collection in the car park in the run up to Christmas.
