The Foodbank collection before the Cambridge game resulted in 218kg of food donated (pictured) plus £893 in cash.
At a time of high inflation when everyone is feeling the pinch this is a remarkable contribution from Charlton supporters towards people in the local community who are struggling to get by at the moment.
We will be in the car park again before the Burton game on December 23rd when you will be able to find us in one of the wooden huts in front of the ticket office. So, if you missed the chance to make a donation last week, please take the opportunity on Saturday 23rd (from 1.45pm to 2.45pm).
Greenwich Foodbank have identified the following as their current top priorities:
- Christmas Treats
- Fruit Juice
- Tinned Potatoes
- Rice Pudding
- Sweets / Chocolates
- Cooking Oil
- Savoury Snacks
- Mashed Potato
But all non-perishable foodstuffs and toiletries will be gratefully received.
