Our women's team saw off Ipswich 1-4 in the FA Cup at the weekend to earn a fifth round tie away to WSL side Tottenham.

This Sunday (12pm) they entertain mid-table Blackburn at The Oakwood as the Championship season kicks off again after a four week break. Available for selection will be new signings Melisa Filis and Gracie Pearse plus Ella Rutherford who returns to action after almost a year out following an ACL injury last February:

It is mighty tight at the top of the Women's Championship with five teams separated by two points. Birmingham are the form team with six consecutive wins but Palace, with superior goal difference and a game in hand, might be the team to be wary of.
