CAST have received this letter from Edward Russell who is carrying out research into the experience of female football fans in League One clubs.
Dear Charlton Athletic Supporters' Trust,
I would like to invite any female members of this supporters’ club to take part in my dissertation research study, which forms part of my BSc (Hons) Football Coaching and Performance degree. The title of my dissertation focuses upon the experiences of female football fans in League One clubs. Therefore, the participants that are required for my study are female supporters of clubs which currently play in League One. I have contacted members of this supporters’ club as I would like any participants to my study to have a strong passion for their respective clubs, and regularly attend matches home and away.
This study will look to contribute towards a better understanding of the experience of female supporters, so any participants would be greatly appreciated!
