Charlton women will be keen to return to winning ways this Sunday after stumbling through their last few fixtures with their defence, which let in only one goal in four games in September, suddenly conceding eight in three October games.
Visitors Southampton, by contrast, have the second best defensive record in the Championship, having only conceded four goals in their six games so far. They arrive at The Valley in seventh place, four points behind their hosts but with a game in hand.
Charlton were boosted by the return of Ellie Brazil for the second half as they fought back from 1-3 to earn a 3-3 draw at Newcastle last time out. However, it is Katie Bradley who is making the headlines. Her brace at Newcastle means that she is the most prolific striker in the league with a goal every 43 minutes and 100% shot accuracy.
Southampton bring their own hot shot in former Tottenham and Crystal Palace striker Rianna Dean who has scored five this season, albeit at a pedestrian rate of one every 73 minutes.
