Charlton Women host Bristol City at The Valley this Sunday having dropped to sixth place in The Women's Championship after a run of four games without a win.
The gap to the top is only five points but anything but a win on Sunday risks the team falling too far behind to be able to make up the ground.
Bristol City, having returned to The Championship after a daunting season in the WSL, have made a steady start and are one place above Charlton on alphabetical order. Both clubs have played eight, won four, drawn two and lost two with a goal difference of 14-10. City, however, are in better form with four wins from the last five and they beat Newcastle 2-0 last weekend.
