Like many Charlton fans, CAST was concerned by a headline in the City AM paper on Wednesday stating “Charlton eye move” followed by a sub-head of “Charlton offered Valley alternatives”.

CAST have spoken with the club to seek clarification because we know from our surveys and ourselves as fans just how important The Valley is for Addicks.

The club responded by ensuring the following comment was added to the article: A spokesperson for Charlton Athletic said: “The Valley is the home of Charlton Athletic and the club have no plans to leave the stadium. We have a medium-term lease on the stadium and our only interest is securing the club’s long-term tenure at The Valley.”
