As a result of Charlton's progress in the FA Cup the home fixture against Portsmouth has been brought forward from April 4th and will now be played on Wednesday March 11th at 7pm.
The rescheduling offers Charlton the opportunity to extend their lead over second place Birmingham to twelve points but nothing should be taken for granted. Portsmouth are bottom of the WSL2 and have lost their last six games but, although Charlton have won eleven of the sixteen league games they have played this season, the five they have failed to win have all been against the current bottom three - Sheffield United, Ipswich and Portsmouth. In fact the last game Portsmouth didn't lose was in early December when they held Charlton to a 1-1 draw.
The Portsmouth match starts a big week at home for the Addicks, who follow it up on Sunday 15th, back at The Valley, against Sunderland (KO 2pm GMT).
