Train problems in August

Charlton fans will experience extra challenges getting to and away from the fixtures against Derby (Aug 15th) and Preston (August 29th)

As it stands Thameslink will only be operating one train each hour on the Luton to Rainham route instead of two. The 13.48 from London Bridge will be running but there will be no 14.18.  After the game Thameslink will run trains to London Bridge at 17.09 and 18.09.

For fans travelling up from Kent for the game a Thameslink train will leave Rainham at 13.00 scheduled to reach Charlton at 14.09. After the game there will be Thameslink services towards Kent at 17.05 and 18.05 but no 17.35.

In addition, Charing Cross and Waterloo East stations will be closed for the Derby game and we are informed by southeastern and Network Rail that "trains that normally run into Charing Cross and Waterloo East will be diverted to Victoria, Cannon Street, Blackfriars and London Bridge"

CAST has been in contact with CAFC and we have been informed that the club is aware and has been in contact with key people on the Safety Advisory Group to try to get more trains or more carriages made available.

We will try to keep you updated with any developments but please check your travel arrangements nearer the dates as things may change.
